Agenda

Directors, C-Suite executives, and major investors face increasing risk of civil and criminal personal liability. Our Distinguished Keynote Speaker will discuss how financial institutions and companies in other industries can protect themselves based on his experience in the public and private sector and pragmatic understanding of the current business, legal, and regulatory environment. He also will address important current issues creating potential liability such as cyber attacks and the security of employees/facilities.

Following his remarks, the Distinguished Panel will join him in discussing business, regulatory, and legal risks faced by officers and directors in today’s landscape; the tactics employed by DOJ and SEC enforcement against business leaders; and parallel civil enforcement proceedings, whistleblower suits, and shareholder litigation targeting corporate fiduciaries. The Speakers will address defense strategies in internal corporate investigations; civil and criminal proceedings; settlement negotiations; and jury trials. They will conclude with recommendations for Boards of Directors including establishing effective compliance, control, and D&O insurance programs before a crisis may arise.
