There is no fee to attend and continental breakfast will be served. Two hours of CLE credits will be provided. The program will be conducted in both French and English with simultaneous translation.. With a slow economy and important initiatives by the U.S. and French governments, there are significant regulatory and enforcement challenges that Directors must address. The Distinguished Speakers will discuss the domestic and international scope of financial reporting and enforcement including FCPA, EU, and French policies affecting international investors and businesses; cooperation between the SEC and local regulators; avoiding being brought into a class action although a company is not listed in the U.S.; the international reach of American courts; and lessons of the Vivendi jury decision. The Distinguished Speakers will also analyze what actions companies and their Boards should take now to address these key issues.
