Corporations are increasingly challenged by employment class actions over issues such as discrimination, overtime, ERISA and pensions, and others. Recently Starbucks lost a $100 million verdict regarding their coffee shop supervisors participating in employee tips. In the current economic environment, corporations must plan very carefully their downsizing strategies and changes in employee compensation and benefits to minimize liability. This distinguished panel will share their expertise on these important issues, as well as present an overview of employment issues in Washington.
